SPUR for Term 2

I have given out a new SPUR worksheet for the boys to complete this term.
17 of them have completed and collected 10 signatures from me in Term 1, WELL DONE! They will be receiving their SPUR badges soon.

Below are the insturctions on how to complete the activity.
1. They are to collect 10 signatures from me.
2. To complete 10 activities from the worksheet. Each activity can be repeated thrice.
3. Since they need to collect 10 signatures, they are to read 10 DIFFERENT story books.
4. The 6 activities this term are:
a) My favourite book
b) Design a book jacket/cove
c) Who is your favourite character
d) Grow your knowledge (5 new adjectives)
e) Create a bookmark
f) Recommend a book to a friend

Activities a, c, d and f can be done in their class reading book while activities b an e have to be done on a drawing paper.
The best activity done may win them a prize.

They have the entire term to complete this.
Have fun with them and encourage them to read :)

Reading AMODES

Please take note that there will be reading AMODES next week, Wednesday (4th April). The boys have been given the reading passage to practice and the rubric for your reference.

End of term 1

Dear parents,

Today marks the end of T1 for the boys. It has been a good start of the year. Thanks for all your support and encouragement that you have given me. Appreciate it a lot. Lets work together again for the next 3 terms.

Just a little assignment for them to do during the holidays....:)
1. Revise through their EL file, go through all the wkshts.
2. Complete the spur wksht. They need to complete that by Monday of T2 as I will be giving out a new spur wksht in T2. Do encourage them to read during th hols.

By the way, I WOULD LIKE TO SAY A BIG THANKS to all parents who have put in effort for the Comics Come Alive. I love their costumes and their rap. Thanks once again. I will post the pictures soon..

1. Letter on Teach me to fish. Take note of the things that the boys are required to bring on Wednesday, 7thMarch.
As of now, I have 5 PVs. The class would need 6PVs. Anyone who is keen, please let our class rep, Yen,know about it by Monday.

3. Grammar and Vocab AMODES returned. Please sign and file in.

4. Learning sheet 5 returned. File and sign.

5. Reminder: Come in comic character costume on Monday.
