EL week - Comics Come Alive

Week 10 will be our school English week. The theme for this year will be Comics Come Alive. There will be a letter sent out tmr. The boy have been briefed on this just now.
1. They have to think of 1 comic character.
Example:
- astro boy
- garfield
- spongebob
- felix the cat
- george of the jungle
- charlie brown
- superman
- spiderman
- batman
and many many more

2. To do up a costume on the selected character. The costume MUST be made from RECYCLED MATERIALS.

3. Come up with a 4-line rap pertaining to the character.

4. Come with the costume and the rap on 5th March (Monday). I will select the best 3 and will choose 1 to represent 2 Goodness for the final competition on the 20th March.

Have fun preparing this with your boys...:)

Things to bring for Science lesson tmr

1. 5 pieces of green beans
2. Cotton wool
3. Plastic cup

The boys have been briefed on this. They will be growing their own bean sprouts. They need to measure how tall it is on alternate days till the 11th day. They are very keen about the activity.

Homework

1. Write right: Compo writing.
The boys are required to write 3 paragraphs about what have discussed in class. The story web points have been given to them.
Submit it tmr.

FTGP and AMODES

1. A letter on FTGP has been given out. Please bring $1.90 tmr for the purchase of the book.
2. Grammar and vocab AMODES will be on 29th Feb (Wed). Please revise through learning sheet 4 which I will return it by Friday. Format of the paper is Fill in the blanks.
3. Reminder: Spelling this and next Friday.

Snippets of the learning journey

Learning Journey

A gentle reminder that the boys will be having their learning journey to the museum tmr.
Kindly pack the following into their school bag:
1. pencil box
2. colour pencil
3. story book
4. a packet of biscuits
5. tissue paper/wet wipes
6.water bottle
Above are the things that they have to bring to the museum. You can pack the items into a smaller bag as they will be leaving their big school bag in class.
The boys are required to wear PE attire tmr.
Report to school as per normal. Dismissal is at 1.45pm.

Take note: Lessons will be as per normal from 11.45 to1.45pm

Donation of stationery

- A letter on donation of stationery was given to the boys. Feel free to leave the donated stationery in the general office from now till 20th March.

Show and tell AMODES

Just a reminder that show and tell AMODES will start on Monday. I will try to finish it by Wednesday as I am aware that Chinese show and tell starts on Thursday.

Exercise book for reading programme

The boys have been told to bring any kind of exercise book for reading programme, every Tuesday. They are told to wrap and decorate the cover page.
Do remind them to bring it next Tuesday onwards.
The purpose of the exercise book is for them to do activities, like book review, etc...activities that are related to the story book that has been read to them by the reading mothers.

AMODES

1. Listening comprehension AMODES is on 8th Feb, Wednesday.
2. Topic on show and tell will be given out next Monday.....:)
