Appeal for donation for a boy who is in coma

Dear parents,

On behalf of the school, I would like to make an appeal for your kind donation for one of our own CHS boy who is in coma right now. He is a Primary 5 boy who has been in coma for the past 1 month. He is admitted to 1 one of the hospital in Malacca. It started off with him having a high fever and resulted into a coma.
We are helping the family financially. For those who wish to make your kind donation, please give a cash cheque or cash contribution to me latest by Friday as a group of teachers are going to Malacca on Saturday.
Please pray for the boy and the family.

Thanks once again. We do this much to show that we care...... :)

Poem AMODES

1. Poem AMODES will be conducted from Monday onwards.
2. The poem has ben given out to the boys. Please practice with them as that is the actual poem to be tested.
3. A rubric has been givn out (both poem and show and tell). Please bring it back on Monday for me to record down their marks. Do not misplace it.

Letter on AMODES 1 and CNY party

A letter on AMODES 1 has been given out. Please take note of the diferent components and the week it will be tested. As for EL, I will remind the dates again when its nearing.

Letter on workshop and Reading parents

A letter on workshop has been given out to the boys. Those who wish to come down for any of the workshop, please submit the money and form to me or the general office.

Reading parents
I would need 6 PVs to do reading programme with the boys every Tuesday from 8.15 to 8.45. Our class rep, Yen, has sent out an email regarding this.
Those who wish to help, please email me or Yen. Really appreciate your help and time.

School dismissal on 20th Jan

Dear parents,

Please take note that there is a change in dismissal time on Friday, 20th Jan. Instead of 12noon, its change to 12.30pm. Please take note.

1. Bring red packets on Monday. A few boys have already handed in today :)
2. Class reading programme. Please read, sign and return it to me on Monday.
3. Pupil medical record form. To be filled in and return on Monday.
4. Sign learning sheet 1.

Chinese New Year Celebration
- It will be on Friday, 20th January.
- NO lessons on that day. Pupils are to bring writing materials on that day as there will be penmanship competition.
- Pupils are encouragd to wear festive attire.
- There will be class party. Our class rep, Yen, will organise this party. She may need help from some of you. Thank in advance.

1. Adjectives
- describing a noun
- an adjective usually comes before the noun and sometimes after a noun

2. Punctuation
- Begin each sentence with a capital letter
- Ends with a full stop
- Special noun like: festivals, name of countries or events,  has to use capital letter (Christmas, Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Deepavali, etc)

NOTE:
Remind the boys to copy the words given carefully. There are still a handful of boys who cannot copy the words correctly :(

Important matters

1. Appeal for NTUC vouchers
A letter has been sent out to the boys pertaining to the above. It is NOT compulsory. Those who wish to donate NTUC vouchers, please hand it in to me from tomorrow till next week.

2. Swimming carnival registration form
Those who wish to participate in this year's swimming carnival, please fill in the registration form and submit it to me.

Important matters

1. Spelling list for term 1 has been given  out. For those who have not submitted their spelling book, please do so by Monday. The 1st spelling starts on Friday. Below are the spelling dates:
- 13th Jan
- 27th Jan
- 10th Feb

- 2nd March

2. Grammar list has been given out. This is a reference list for parents to take note what the child is learning in school.

3. Those who have not submitted the health booklet, please do so by Monday. The boys will be having their health check on Week 3.

A letter on health screening has been given to the boys. Just like last year, there will be a health check in term 1. Dates to be confirmed. I will be collecting the health booket once I received further details on this matter.

Reminder

Dear parents,

1. Those whose thermometers need to be replaced, please bring the new one by Thursday. Temperature taking exercise will take place on Friday.
2. Report book - Do remember to sign on the specimen page and return it back to me by tomorrow.
3. The boys would need ONLY 1 broadline exercise book for mental sum and journal writing (Math).
4. Each boy is given a locker to put their books or files. Please ensure that they have their own locks or password.
